I just didn't get the point to choose a male based song at this stage. Now the ques is, "Was that her own choice or Shankar's?" This song is one of my very fav. It was a brave attempt but not a very good performance by her.

What a performance. An excellent, superb, outstanding, mind blowing, universal performance. She even sang better than the original one. Her this performance is certainly a very good answer to the disbelievers who doubts on her versatality.

I like your reviews except when it comes to Yashita.....She's my favourite too but don't be so biased about her bro...Her "Maahiya" was definitely not upto the mark....Why didn't you include the comments by Himesh and Shankar??? Even Preetam wasn't too impressed with her performance.....Her second performance was undoubtedly very good.... I feel Pratibha was the weakest today....I didn't listen to her 1st song but her second song failed to impress me at all... I feel she should get eliminated the coming week though she's also been a wonderful and a consistent singer throughout....
Soumen, Yashita,Pratibha,Vaishali.....all are very good singers.
Soumen is just brilliant.
May be after a long time, I am seeing good singing.
I think Gajji should learn from this SAREGAMAPA programme as to how to choose good singers.
SVOIC simply sucked after all the good singers were sent packing in the beginning itself.
It looks like Soumen, Yashita and Pratibha will be last three .

Soumen is par excellence..
Vaishali's voice quality is brilliant.. and it would surprise me if she get eliminated based on Saturday's performance...
Yashita is again very good and performed well for both days..
Pratibha's Saturday's performance was not that impressive like I am used to hearing her based on past performance.. may be her NIGHT OUT with Soumen caused the damage? anyhow does it matter who among the 2 wins? akhir trophy ghar ka hi maal hai.. anyhow hopefully will get to watch future promising shows once the two team up for professional stage performances.. the show would sure rock..
All 4 Singers are Good sirf 19 / 20 ka pharak hai.. it certainly does not matter who wins at the current point.. overall this show was far better than SVOI2.. the only issue here was they had too many talent all at one time in the mix.. I sure miss the Sardar and Sardarni..

I second you...... I hope Vaishali doesn't get eliminated......I want a female winner this time even though Soumen's excellent, Yashita,Pratibha and vaishali is nothing less...I want all of them to be crowned as winners....

I am planning on a visit to India coming year.. I have not been able to read any of SEXYGALs comments thus far.. however if the comments are to my favor I don't mind 4 to 6 sexygals besides me for protection :)

whcih good singer of VOI 2 was sent packing early except shraddha das??? ithink most of the good singers remained till end like vipul,saptaparna,mallar and ritiha. Vinti left a bit early that's all.

On the other hand saregama sent a few VERYGOOD singers a bit too early. Eg SHASHI, NAINA, MITIKA, ARSHAD etc.

Toshi has sung the song maahi EXCEPTIONALLY WELL. he is a gem. very unusual voice. and Amit paul has also sung in Luck By chance. raja has also sung in de taali, bachna ae haseeno.
This yr which singers will be successful? I think most of u will agree that the male singers this yr,unlike last yr, ahve been a washout. No raja, no abhas, no toshi,no amit paul. only Vipul shahsi and rajdeep ahve that quality.
But gals this yr simply rock!! all 5 gals of VOI 2 were damn gud, naina,pratibha,mitika,yashita in saregama and Torsha,bhavya,anaya,shini in Indian idol 4 have been tremendous. Its been a yeat of female power only i wish roshni had defeated ravi- she should have.

You must be feeling happy and proud seeing Toshi sing so well in Hindi films. Toshi has finally entered the big league.You were his firm supporter and he has excelled among all the VOI-1 participants.
When Toshi got eliminated in JJWSS, he said next time when you see me on stage, i will be receiving Filmfare award. He has moved towards that direction.
lets hope the best for him.

The other day i was reading an article on Rediff regarding the 10 most popular TV programmes in 2008 in India.
Surprisingly Jo Jeeta Wahi Superstar also featured in the list. We never knew this programme was so popular. VOI & Saregama were no where in the list.
In JJWSS blog, we used to say that this programme is crap, but it featured in top 10.
The top 3 programmes were:-
1. Balika Vadhu (Colors)
2. Bidai ( Star Plus)
3. Big Boss (Colours)
JJWSS was on 9th position.
I stopped watching SVOI all of a sudden after some frustrating performances. But I started checking the last few episodes though...
To me the best are:
Girls -
1. Saptaparna
2. Yashita
3. Pratibha
Boys-
1. Vipul
2. Mallar
3. rajdeep
To me, except Rajdeep, there is any exceptional signer in II4.

You are right. Rajdeep is the best singer this seaon of idol, however Tosha and Bhvaya are also very good among the girls. I do feel Rajdeep may even be better than Vipul/mallar if he was aprticipating in VOI2.
For me the 5 girls of VOI 2 were all great, saptaparna was the best of course followed by ritisha,vinti.I like mtika and naina in saregama as much as Pratibha/yashita, however they got eliminated early.
Thsi year talent was not as gud as last.
