Its unfair to get Sashi Suman out. Sujat should have been eliminated. He seems to be very ordinary singer. Its a great loss for SRGMP. With due respect to Suresh Wadkar, that was a very very very wrong decision.

The show started with Rock On Team.

DHOOM GHARANA

1. Shujat - Jara Si Dil Mein

A very good performance.

2. Yashita - O' Mera Down

Excellent Performance.

3. Shashi Suman - Dil Se

There were some mistakes in the SUR but a good performance.

4. Anupama - Aisa Jadu Dala Re

A very good performance.

5. Faraz Butt - Aankho Ki Sagar

An excellent performance. A superb. Later Himesh also requested him to sing Bulla Ki Jaana Again and advised him to sing the same way to win.

6. Fareed - Judaah Ho Ke Vi

It was a very good performance. Stiil probs in voice clarity.

7. Pratibha - Aab Ki Sawan

A wonderful performance. Despite she forgot some words of the first antara she managed it immediately & continue singing like a professional. But still Puja's (Indian Idol 3) rendition was best among all. She was superb, mind blowing when she performed this song in Indian Idol 3. A complete unforgettable performance.

8. Debojit - Sawariya

A fantastic & rocking performance. But till I have to say, he is over hyped especially by the judges.

Results:

Girls:

Among girl no one eliminated.

Boys:

Fareed & Shashi Suman eliminated.

Thanks.

@Siddhartha,

I am also very much upset for Shashi's early elimination but mark my words, he will be back by the mercy of "Brahma Aastra" very soon because all are pre-scripted. This is not only a loss but will be a great loss for SRGMP if Shashi will not back.

By the way, Shujat is not an ordinary singer. Because the Gharana he is from is extraordinary and he is also, IMHO. He is pure, by born classical singer.

EXCLUSIVE NEWS:

Ismail Darbar calls Pritam a Chor and unfit to judge.

Pritam in troubled waters over Race song:

Sony BMG Taiwan has issued a legal letter to Tips Industries claiming damages over Rs. 2 crore for the Race song Zara Zara Touch Me Touch Me Touch Me which has been plagiarized from a Wang Lee Hom tune. The record label has claimed that the song, Zara Zara Touch Me, is a copy of Lee Hom’s Deep In The Bamboo Grove from his 2004 album Shangri-La.

Sony BMG Taiwan has seeked damages over this particular song for on the following grounds

1. Using the song without authorisation, filling in Indian lyrics and claiming it as an original composition.

2. Turning the song into part of a movie, complete with its own music video.

3. Playing the song on TV and radio stations.

4. Releasing the song in various forms, including ringtone and Internet download.

5. Selling the song in the form of cassette tape, CD, VCD and DVD.

When contacted, Pritam refused to comment on this matter whereas a Tips official accepted the fact that they been sent a legal notice and that the above mentioned damages have been claimed.

Pritam has got for himself a notorious image of directly lifting South Asian song tunes shamelessly and passing them as his own. Whenever probed on the matter of song lifts he always says, “I always tell my makers to give due credit to the original composer on the album cover but not all comply.”

A website that exposes all Indian music directors of their copied tunes by posting the original numbers along side them has Pritam at the top! He has copied more than over 100 tunes till now they have proved it!

Antar,

Why is everybody after innocent Pritam Da, he gives such wonderful music. I am a big fan of Pritam Da's music.

jatin said...

Antar,

How dare Ismail Darbar called Pritam Da a chor.If Pritam is a chor then Ismail himself is the biggest dramabaaz on this earth. Did u see the manner in which he broke the mug in VOI yesterday and that also Sukhi's mug not his own.LOL. Sukhi was lucky that the pieces of mug dint pierce his eyes. If Sukhi's eyes had sustained injuries Ismail would hv been jailed.
Ismail does not have a single film with hih. He is just jealous of Pritam thats all.

Antar said...

@Jatin.

Thats the true color of an unsuccessful person. It's simply jealous, nothing else. I heard from some source that, I D wanted to stay in the SRGMP team but because of Pritam he couldn't manage it.

I remember a folk singer from Rajasthan who gave an interview a few years back about ISMAEL DURBAR.

According to the folk singer, Ismael Durbar had learnt and recorded the tune of the famous " NIMBUDA" song from him. This song was composed by his ancestors and Ismael Durbar had promised him money and fame.
Neither money nor fame reached the poor folk singer's family. And the producer of the movie Sanjay Leela Bhansali a Gujju from Jamnagar side and Ismael Durbar another Gujju from Surat romped home with a ton of money from that song.

And now he calls Pritam a CHOR?

Shame on you Mr. Ismael Durbar.
Thoda Allah ka Khauf Rakho Miyan.

(I am yet to see the controversial statement by ID.

Hemant Bhai,

Actually what you hv written about the folk singer has been depicted in the movie "geet". The film had Madhuri Dixit in a double role.
The music director's role was played by satish shah and jackie shroff was folk singer. Satish Shah copies his tune and calls it his own.
So films do depict real life inrances.

Nichiro said...

Jatin,

That was a film and this one is a Haquiqat...a fact.

When we throw mud at others, we should look into our own life.
Hope Ismail Durbar learns that.

By the way Jatin.
I wanted to inform you of something very interesting.

Have a look at the following video and note a very young boy from Punjab.

Once you see that, I will have some questions for you. You may do your research and let me know.

Just watched the videos for the second time at peace and my opinion is as follows.

Shujat Ali Khan....Jarasi dil mein de jaga tu.
It was the best performance from him so far in light music variety .

Yashita's performance was more shocking than rocking. She was suspect in Mukhada
and in jumping notes, she went off key at higher pitch aswell.
I thought that she is becoming over confident and this
pulled her down and she lost the gold medal to Debojeet.

Shashi Suman sang Dil Se Re, an ARR's wonderful composition with extreme end notes.
Though he could not do 100 percent justice, but he was much better than Yashita.
It is sad that he was eliminated .
May be Bihar does not produce enough votes so he had to be eliminated before time itself.

Anupama sang "aisa Jaadu daala re" a powerful song from Sunidhi.
She did a good job of it but what was the need to bring the sasuma, hubby and the child?
Anupama touching the feet of her husband ...I think was in a very bad state.
People/channels sttop so low, literally to get votes.I was sad.
Womanhood depicted at such poor way was too painful.

Faraz Butt sang "Aankhon Ke saagar". I thought he was very nasal.Otherwise
he was very good.

A sob story by Fareed who sang "Juda Ho ke Bhi " He really sang it from his heart
He was suspect in his pronounciations but went off
sur. His singing and harkat towards the end was great. But it was not enough and he
got eliminated in the end.

Pratibha sing sang "Ab Ke Sawan" She was really good. She forgot words in one place this
was IMHO suspect at higher note"Jam Ke barse Jara"
And ended the song fast missing a bit of tempo.
I feel that her voice is minus that sweetness that we saw in SVOICU finalists.

Debojeet Dutta sang "Sawariya". He was good, very good but
not that great that the judges ran to the stage.
I feel that he needs to clear his alfaaz . Practicing Khechari Mudra can cure him of this problem.
But his rendering was worth getting the medal.
No matter what, he has a lot of good stuff in him .His "HARA"
is great. Hara in Japanese is equivalant of Nabhi Shakti
or the origin of CHI/Ki. He can be said as the find of this show.

Goofy,

Ismail had limited talent, whatever good music he has given is courtesy Monty Sharma who was working under him at that time.
Once Monty became independent, Ismail's career came to a halt.

Now its really surprising that a music director who was dependent on his assitant is pointing fingers at a talented music director like Pritam da.

First of all, I need to mention that I am not a trained singer or has very good classical song background. I just love music and the musical shows. Based on my common sense of music I make all my comments.

@Antar, I agree that Shujat Ali Khan is from a very rich musical gharana. But I don't that he is enough capable of holding the flag and keep it safe. according to me, based on yesterday's performance Shujat was not as good as Sashi.

See, the problem was any song sang by KK is very tough to replicate with same flavor and to me Shujat could not sing even 60% of the original one.

Friends,

I was on my favorite NAGA MORICH hunting spree since morning.
FIY Naga Morich alias Naga Jolokia or Bhoot Jolokia is the HOTEST CHILLI PEPPER IN WORLD.

Spent four hours, went around ten shops, one garden and a home and got some of it.
(I can almost murder for Naga Morich)LOL.

I missed all the fun you gus had in my absence.

To a great extent, I believe that Ismail Durbar has become a "Has Been" now. At the most he would or is fit to adorn judge's chair in such cheap tricked Reality shows where there is no reality .

goofy bhai,

I know and can understand your anger at ID. Pritam , no doubt, has taken tunes from all over the world, but he has given some fantastic songs in a series using inspired tunes.

I am not condoning his theft but nonetheless he has given hummable songs .

Lord Krishna has said in Gita,
" Jo Aaj tumhara hai woh kal kisi aur ka tha, kal kisi aur ka hoga, to fir tumhara kya hai?" LOL

Could not see SVOIC so far. Will have to see that tonight .

I am also stunned at Sunvinder's exit.
Let me see the prog tonight .

goofy bhai,

Just google for Naga Morich and you will know how hot it is.

Unless you have real guts for eating very hot chilli peppers, please don't even try it.

After you go through the google info, and if you are still a game, then I will send you some to try out.

Next year, I intend growing in my backyard.

goofy bhai,

what I have is exactly what you have in pics. The NJ that I got today is direct decendent of Sylhut Naga Morich grown by Bangladeshi friends who cannot have any chili pepper other than the famed Naga Morich aka Naga Jolokia aka Bhoot Jolokia.

Man, if you get addicted to that, you would never appreciate any hot dish unless it is laced with NJ in it.

I need to have my daily fix of NJ chutney pickle twice a day. That's the addiction I am talking about.

Would surely send the chutney across to you.
